Local History Curriculum

The local history curriculum was completed in 2017 as a partnership between between the Lackawanna Historical Society, the Albright Memorial Library, and the Scranton School District. It is geared to students in grades four through seven, and presents an overview of Scranton's history, from Indian paths to coal seams. Also included are some questions and activities to spark discussion, as well as digital resources to expand your exploration. We hope you take this opportunity to learn more about the city's origins!
