The Lackawanna Historical Society maintains an extensive collection of library resources for use by students, scholars, historians, and the community at large. The holdings include: vertical files, books and other published works, manuscripts, photographs, newspapers, maps, general scrapbooks, music scrapbooks, genealogical files, and oral histories (see menu selections at left for more information). |

Among the records are valuable first-hand accounts and primary source materials for those seeking to learn about the history and heritage of our area from various standpoints. Whether you’re looking for in-depth material for a book or paper or you’re curious about a local landmark or your grandfather’s business, the LHS library is here to help. Members may use the Society library at any time during regular business hours; non-members may use it for a fee of five dollars per day. On-site personnel are available to assist those who walk in, email, write, or phone for help with inquiries. Society researchers will respond to written requests for a base fee of $25 plus a copy fee.
